She said both injuries would require surgery, and he was transferred to a larger hospital Tuesday morning for the procedures. CT scans showed no head, neck or spinal injuries.<\/p>\n<p class=\"col-body mb-4 leading-7 text-[18px] md:leading-8 break-words min-w-0\">\u201cHis vitals are stable, and after receiving additional pain medication, he is in better spirits and resting,\u201d Jessica, who also races, posted on X (formerly Twitter).<\/p>\n<div class=\"col-fullbleed mb-4 bg-marshmallow pb-5 dark:bg-ramones md:invisible md:mb-0 md:h-0 md:overflow-hidden md:pb-0\">\n<div class=\"py-2 text-center text-xs uppercase\">The accident occurred Monday night during a dirt modified race. It was triggered when Friesen\u2019s car collided with the end of the outside wall. That launched him into the air, and he began flipping. His car burst into flames before coming back onto the track where another car slammed into it. He had to be removed from his car by the track\u2019s crew.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p class=\"col-body mb-4 leading-7 text-[18px] md:leading-8 break-words min-w-0\">Jessica wrote on social media, \u201cThank you to Tommy Conroy and Martin Roy, who stayed with Stewart last night. \u2026 Thank you to the manufacturers who have made dirt modifieds as safe as possible.
