Last fall, the Treasury Department\u00a0unveiled a different design\u00a0depicting Trump with his fist raised after the 2024 assassination attempt against him and the words, “FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT.” Then, in March, the federal Commission of Fine Arts, whose members were all appointed by Trump, approved the design of a 24-karat gold coin depicting Trump with his fists clenched as he leans over a desk.<\/p>\n

Critics, including some legal experts, argue the coins violate\u00a0an 1866 federal law\u00a0stating that “only the portrait of a deceased individual may appear on United States currency and securities.”<\/p>\n
It’s unclear how many of the new coins will be minted. But they are among more than a dozen projects \u2014 completed or in the works \u2014 that feature Trump’s name, image or likeness as the president and his supporters seek to burnish his legacy.<\/p>\n

In April, the State Department unveiled a\u00a0limited-edition U.S. passport\u00a0featuring an image of President Trump and his gold signature superimposed over the Declaration of Independence on the inside of its front cover. The inside back cover includes an image of the Founding Fathers signing the Declaration of Independence.<\/p>\n
The current passport features a portrait of Francis Scott Key and the lyrics to “The Star Spangled Banner,” which were taken from a poem Key wrote after seeing the U.S. flag flying over Fort McHenry during the War of 1812.<\/p>\n
No modern U.S. passport has featured the image of a sitting president, and American passports have traditionally featured the signature of the secretary of state \u2014 not the president.<\/p>\n

The renderings, which appear to be AI-generated, were produced by Miami-based architecture firm Bermello Ajamil. It’s unclear whether they represent the final designs. A website for the Donald J. Trump Presidential Library Foundation,\u00a0TrumpLibrary.org, is soliciting donations but reveals no additional information about its plans.<\/p>\n
Trump, though, suggested it will be a hotel rather than a presidential library.<\/p>\n
“I don’t believe in building libraries or museums,” Trump\u00a0told reporters\u00a0when asked about the video. “It’s going to be most likely a hotel, this concept. Could be [an] office, but it’s most likely going to be a hotel with a beautiful building underneath and a 747 Air Force One in the lobby.”<\/p>\n

On July 4, Trump posted an image of a $100 bill with his signature above Bessent’s, replacing the signature of the U.S. treasurer, whose name had appeared next to the Treasury secretary’s on U.S. paper currency for more than a century.<\/p>\n

The Trump administration\u00a0announced the launch of the Trump Gold Card\u00a0last December, offering a pathway to U.S. citizenship for foreigners who pay $1 million to expedite their visa applications.<\/p>\n
“Basically, it’s a green card but much better,” Trump said at the time.<\/p>\n
The cards themselves feature Trump’s official portrait flanked by the Statue of Liberty and an eagle, alongside the president’s signature.<\/p>\n
To apply, people must pay a nonrefundable $15,000 processing fee to be vetted by the Department of Homeland Security. After passing a background check, those who contribute $1 million will “receive U.S. residency in record time,”\u00a0according to the TrumpCard.gov website. As lawful permanent residents, cardholders will be eligible for citizenship through naturalization after five years.<\/p>\n

In February, the Trump administration unveiled\u00a0TrumpRx, a new government website where Americans can find discounts on brand-name prescription drugs if they pay cash rather than use health insurance.<\/p>\n
“It’s the biggest thing to happen in health care, I think, in many, many decades,” Trump said at a launch event in the Oval Office.<\/p>\n
At launch,\u00a0there were 43 drugs available through TrumpRx, including weight loss meds such as Ozempic and Wegovy, from five pharmaceutical companies that struck deals with the Trump administration. The White House said at the time that 11 additional companies will offer discounts on their drugs via TrumpRx in the coming months. As of July 15, there were 79 discounted drugs on the website.<\/p>\n
Dr. Mehmet Oz, administrator of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, said that Trump was not involved in picking the name.<\/p>\n

On July 4, the Treasury Department announced the official launch of Trump Accounts, long-term savings accounts for babies born during the president’s second term.<\/p>\n
The accounts are for parents and guardians of children born between 2025 and 2028 who are U.S. citizens with valid Social Security numbers.<\/p>\n
According to the Trump Accounts website, the federal government has deposited $1,000 into each tax-deferred savings account, which is “fully in your child’s name, and you are the sole custodian until they turn 18.” There is no cost to open one.<\/p>\n
Trump touted the program, which was included in the “One Big, Beautiful Bill” passed last summer during his State of the Union speech in February.<\/p>\n
“This is something that’s so special, has taken off and gone through the roof,” Trump said, claiming the accounts “could grow to over $100,000 or more” by the time the children turn 18.<\/p>\n
“I didn’t name it,” he added. “Nobody believes me, but I did not name it.”<\/p>\n
