Both companies source jalape\u00f1os from a grower in Sinaloa, Mexico, which was identified as the potential source in the outbreak.<\/p>\n<div class=\"mb-4\"><\/div>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">&#8220;Taylor Fresh Foods is no longer sourcing products from this farmer and will be filling orders from alternative suppliers,&#8221; Taylor Farms wrote in a statement on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The company said that the US Food and Drug Administration and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is investigating the Salmonella infections.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The products include multiple salsas and guacamoles, and ready-to-eat items such as rice and bean burrito, spicy roast beef sandwich, and fiesta-style salad shrimp.<\/p>\n<div class=\"max-md:faux-bleed mb-4 bg-accent\/2 pb-5 md:invisible md:mb-0 md:h-0 md:overflow-hidden md:pb-0\">\n<div class=\"py-2 text-center text-xs uppercase\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"flex w-full flex-nowrap justify-center\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The company said that it is not aware of any reported illnesses linked to its jalape\u00f1o-containing products to date. It added that the recalled products were distributed to stores in 26 states, including New York, Massachusetts, Texas, Florida, Illinois, and Indiana. The recalled products have a best-before date up to August 16, 2026.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Taylor Farms did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Business Insider.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">In July, the FDA linked iceberg lettuce supplied by Taylor Farms to a\u00a0multi-state cyclosporiasis outbreak\u00a0that made thousands of people in the US sick. The investigation initially focused on lettuce served at Taco Bell restaurants before expanding its scope.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Taylor Farms voluntarily removed central Mexico iceberg lettuce from the US market and suspended distribution.<\/p>\n<div class=\"max-md:faux-bleed mb-4 bg-accent\/2 pb-5 md:invisible md:mb-0 md:h-0 md:overflow-hidden md:pb-0\">\n<div class=\"py-2 text-center text-xs uppercase\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"flex w-full flex-nowrap justify-center\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The FDA later said the Taylor Farms lettuce sample initially reported positive for cyclospora was later determined to be a false positive.
