The storm was located roughly 270 miles south-southwest of the southern tip of Baja California and moving west-northwest. No coastal watches or warnings were in effect.<\/p>\n<p>Despite the storm remaining offshore, Los Cabos officials have implemented precautionary measures as heavy rainfall and hazardous surf affect the region.<\/p>\n<p>Beaches throughout the municipality remain closed under black-flag conditions, according to the Los Cabos government. Officials said some areas could receive between 70 and 75 millimeters of rain, and four temporary shelters have been activated as a precaution.<\/p>\n<p>Emergency personnel have also responded to incidents involving people trapped in arroyo channels as rainfall moves through the area.<\/p>\n<p>Travelers currently in Los Cabos should follow guidance from local authorities and their hotels and avoid beaches and flooded roadways.
