The Tallahassee Police Department arrested a 15-year-old boy in connection with the Oct. 24 mass shooting that left 11 people injured outside Bragg Stadium after Florida A&M University’s homecoming football game.

Anthony Rivers III was arrested Sunday, Oct. 25 as the alleged shooter in the mass shooting, one of the worst in Tallahassee history, and made his first court appearance the following day. State Attorney Jack Campbell said he will be charged as an adult and transferred from the Juvenile Assessment Center to the Leon County Detention Facility.

Rivers, who has faced criminal charges in the past, was arrested on 11 counts of attempted homicide and one count of possession of a firearm by a delinquent, said Alicia Hill, a TPD spokeswoman. The Tallahassee Democrat names minors when they are charged with violent offenses.
