President Donald Trump is in Baltimore this Saturday to watch the annual Army-Navy football game.
During the 2024 season, Blake Horvath powered Navy to a 31-13 win over Army. The dual-threat quarterback had 196 rushing yards, 107 passing yards and four total touchdowns. Although it’s not really a surprise, he’s been just as outstanding this year for the Midshipmen.
The Black Knights have a dynamic quarterback of their own in Cale Hellums. He came into this Saturday with 1,078 rushing yards, 504 passing yards and 18 total touchdowns on the season.
While we’d have to imagine Hellums and Horvath will put on a show this Saturday, the spotlight was briefly occupied by Trump.
Before the coin toss took place at midfield, the lead official said, “It is my honor and privilege to introduce the Commander-in-Chief, our President of the United States of America, Donald J. Trump.”
The crowd at M&T Bank Stadium erupted into a frenzy after Trump was introduced.
“Crowd goes wild for Trump at Army-Navy,” OutKick’s Clay Travis said. “Good job by official here.”
“The crowd roared,” one fan wrote. “Our service members love their President.”
“I love how much our president participates in sports,” another fan commented.
It’s been a busy sports year for Trump.
Back in September, the president of the United States attended the US Open final between Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner. He then showed up to the Ryder Cup at Bethpage State Park in Farmingdale, New York.
We’d have to imagine Trump is pleased with the reception he received at the Army-Navy game this afternoon.
As for the actual product on the field, Navy is already off to a hot start thanks to Horvath. He had 45 rushing yards and a touchdown on the opening drive of the game.
If Army wants to pull off the upset, Jeff Monken’s defense has to find a way to slow down Horvath. Clearly, that’s not an easy thing to do.
